A private client in Warwickshire having a newly built bespoke home contracted us to install a green roof system with over 300 randomly planted sedum. The photos were taken right after the installation was complete and come Spring 2014 we should see established growth right across the surface of the roof. The Sedum was provided by ABG geosynthetic engineering.
The Green roof construction comprised of a marine ply timber deck, a green roof appropriate Kemper system 2K PUR liquid applied roofing membrane and a ABG Roofdrain attenuation/drainage board to ensure water was retained on the roofs surface to establish and maintain the plants above. The sedum plants were type 'sedum sexangulare' which gained the name for its characteristic six spirals of leaves. The roof was finished with an aluminium drainage trim and pebble stone border.
